I don't see anything specifically about guns. Not to minimize the weapons charge, they need to hang this fool by the balls for smuggling anything in to I/M's. We had a C/O at my joint that got 9 yrs for this very thing. Well not quite, she also conspired to have her A.B. affiliated husband killed by the Crips on the street, (she was messing around with the yard shot-caller). Bet her old-man loved that when he found out!!! Funny thing is, it was well known that her husband was affiliated, apparently backgrounds didn't care. One of these days, I fear we are going to have another San Quentin Six style catastrophe.

my GUESS is that he had a weapon in the car when they searched it..instead of turning it into the gun lockers OIA likes to start off with about 100 charges so that they can get 1 to stick -if he had nail clippers they probably charged him with that as a weapons charge - not making light of potentially serious ALLEGATIONS .. but OIA isnt above pulling bs either

If you think this is bad, well back in the '60s we had a sissy-social-worker parole agent in the Riversid office who found one of his parolees shot in the gut during a home visit. When the parolee copped to having been shot while trying to rob a liquor sotre, the PA personally drove the wounded parolee down to Mexico for treatment by a doctor down there.
